The constituency of Arouca/Maloney is home to approximately 38,000 residents, some of whom are in need of assistance to complete structural repairs to their homes.

The Commission was able to identify 17 of the most deserving citizens in this constituency and hosted a grant distribution ceremony at the Bon Air Gardens Community Center in Arouca to handover grants to these recipients, valued at an estimated $255,000.00.

Member of Parliament for Arouca/Maloney and Minister of Planning and Development the Honourable Camille Robinson-Regis was on hand to deliver the feature address to the gathering as she aims to continue brining equal, equitable and improved living conditions to her constituents. The Commission's Chairman addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of having strong partnerships with MPs and agencies to continue to bring home improvement relief while CEO Julien brought welcome remarks and highlighted the Commission's journey to success and improved efficiency as the Commission continues to meet its mandate to alleviate poverty in Trinidad and Tobago.
